How to measure your dog to choose the right guard-type harness size?

For the harness to fit well and not cause discomfort, it is very important to correctly measure your dog before choosing a size. You just need to measure three basic circumferences:

• Chest circumference – measure the widest part of the chest, right behind the front legs.
• Neck circumference – measure the dog's neck where a collar naturally sits (i.e., at the base of the neck, not near the ears).
• Sternum length – measure the distance between the lower part of the neck circumference and the beginning of the chest circumference (this is the length of the strap connecting the front to the back of the harness).

Make sure that the measuring tape is neither too loose nor too tight – it is best to leave about 1-2 cm of slack so that the dog can breathe and move freely. Based on these measurements, choose the size from our table. If your dog is on the border of sizes, we recommend choosing a larger one and adjusting the harness accordingly.
